PADI Open Water Diver
The internationally recognized PADI Open Water Diver course is the most popular scuba course in the world. The PADI Open Water Diver course teaches student divers the foundational knowledge and skills they need to dive with a buddy, independent of supervision in conditions similar to or better than those you were trained in.
Overview
The course consists of three parts:
Knowledge development sessions
You will be learning the theory behind diving by studying at home and participating in knowledge review sessions with an instructor. These sessions last approx. 1 hour each and there will be 5 sessions. These will take place in the students house / instructor classroom.
Confined water sessions
This is where the student will learn about the principles of wearing scuba equipment; and practicing skills in a swimming pool environment. Swimming pool sessions will last for approx. 1 hour each and there will be 5 sessions. These pool sessions will take place in local swimming pools.
Open water dives
You will participate in four open water dives conducted over two different days, starting early morning. During these four dives you will demonstrate the diving skills you have learned. The open water dives will occur at Half Moon Bay.
Cost
The cost of this courses is SR 1,750 and is inclusive of all course materials. Materials included are: all educational materials and handouts; rental scuba equipment; instructor fees; certified assistant fees; classroom sessions; pool sessions; open water training dives; any makeup sessions if needed; certification processing fee; and a free Scuba Club T-Shirt !
